18-year-old woman shot, killed in Lafayette; 20-year-old woman arrested

The Lafayette Police Department is investigating after an 18-year-old was shot and killed Wednesday night. Around 11 p.m. Oct. 15, officers responded to a report of a shooting on North 9th Street, near Salem Street. When police arrived on the scene, they found 18-year-old Dynasty Battle, of Attica, with a gunshot wound inside a home. Battle was pronounced dead at the scene.
