On July 2, 2025, at approximately 23:12 hours, Toledo Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving multiple parked vehicles. One of the struck vehicles was a marked Toledo Police van (Unit 84), which was pushed forward into another parked car upon impact. The driver, identified as Anetra Madison, was contacted at the scene. Officers noted that Madison exhibited slurred speech and other signs of impairment. She admitted to consuming alcohol at a local bar approximately 30 minutes prior to the crash. Madison stated that her passenger became upset and grabbed the steering wheel, which she claimed caused the collision. Officers conducted field sobriety testing. Madison failed the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, demonstrating an inability to track the stimulus using only her eyes. She was given instructions for the walk-and-turn test, but refused to perform the test and declined to provide a breath sample. Madison was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance. She was subsequently charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs (OVI). The passenger involved in the incident was evaluated by medics at the scene and cleared without further treatment. ⚖️ Disclaimer & Statement of Purpose All individuals featured in this video are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
