Dreamfall Chapters PS4 Pro: Notre Test Video Review FR HD (N-Gamz)

Dreamfall Chapters: Our full video review on PlayStation 4 Pro of this adventure game, a 3D adaptation of the legendary point-and-click adventures of the era and the conclusion of a trilogy that began in 1999 with The Longest Journey, followed by Dreamfall in 2006! The problem is that the two previous installments were never released on consoles, and the game engine has clearly aged by the time Dreamfall Chapters was released on PC in 2014. Add to that simplistic puzzles, a poor pacing in the quests, and a lot of unnecessary dialogue, and you'll understand why the title is unfortunately quite dispensable on PS4 and Xbox One. A word of advice: get it on PC; it's often on sale and bundled with its two predecessors! Recorded using the AVer Media Live Gamer Portable 2 in 1080p at 60fps for http://www.n-gamz.com The good points: The end of a trilogy that answers all the questions / Three playable characters with three distinct stories / A truly well-developed world / The game makes a lot of effort to integrate newcomers / Nice lighting and water effects / Good replay value / An excellent soundtrack The bad points: Inexplicable framerate drops / 80% dialogue... and it's all just blather / A serious lack of interaction / Simplistic puzzles / An excessively high price / The first two games are not included / A 3D engine that hasn't aged well / Major pacing issues in quests / A horribly empty city Video Review Score: 11/20
