Subscribe:    / @thekydhecks   Horizon Forbidden West is an open world action role-playing game played from a third-person perspective developed by Guerilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is the direct sequel to Horzion Zero Dawn. Horizon Forbidden West’s story is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the western United States that is populated by dangerous animalistic machines. Players get to control the main character Aloy again from Horizon Zero Dawn. Aloy must head into the Forbidden West to locate the source of a mysterious plague that kills all it infects. Horizon Forbidden West’s gameplay features new mechanics such as new traversal tools, underwater exploration, and expanded melee combat. Players can now chain up their spear attacks with various types of combos, as well as use new equipment such as a pullcaster that pulls down obstacles and doubles as a grappling hook. Aloy can also now use a diving mask for underwater exploration and a shieldwing for gliding air traversal. Horizon Forbidden West released exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 18, 2022. A PC version was released on March 21, 2024.
