Tonight, many tell FOX17 they haven't been able to apply. The website is Healthcare.gov. A lot of people are running into problems, seeing an error message, and oh, the frustration. What Pastor James Thomas wanted was to help people enroll for the Federal Insurance Exchange when it opened Tuesday, but people everywhere trying to log on got stuck. We called the Healthcare.gov hotline to find out what was up. Because of an overwhelming number of people across the country trying to sign up all at once, the website simply can't handle the web traffic, so you'll likely see the error messages.Healthcare.gov website representatives say keep trying. You'll eventually get through. Some people have had luck getting a little further in the application process each time they log on. All this with a sense of urgency. The good news: You have until March 31 to enroll. It doesn't matter if you sign up today or wait until the end of the year, once you're enrolled, your insurance won't go into effect until January 1.Today we also visited the website by the Kaisier Family Foundation. On it they have a calculator that will help you estimate your eligibility and how much your family will pay for health insurance costs. To check out that FREE calculator, CLICK HERE.Follow us on Twitter @wztv_fox17 and LIKE us on Facebook for updates _______________ Stay up to date with our social media: WZTV on Facebook: / foxnashville WZTV on Twitter: / foxnashville Subscribe to WZTV on YouTube: / @fox17nashville Daily News Playlist: • Playlist For more information, visit https://fox17.com/ Have a news tip?
