GMC Gridiron Highlights--December 6, 2014--#2 Phillipsburg vs. #1 Colonia--N2 Group IV Final

Here are highlights from the action in the 2014 North Jersey Section 2 Group IV Championship game at Rutgers University's High Point Solutions Stadium between second seeded Phillipsburg and top seeded Colonia. The defending champion Stateliners jumped out to a 21-6 first half lead on two second quarter TD runs of 39 and 26 yards by RB Joe Maso, and a 75 yard scamper on a keeper by QB Anthony Guarino. However, the Patriots rallied in the second half with 25 yard TD runs by RB Sam Pero in the third and fourth quarters to tie the score and force overtime. Unfortunately for Colonia, Guarino was able to overcome two interceptions and cap the winning drive in overtime with a one yard plunge for a 28-21 victory.
