Final Fantasy IX - Humiliating Ozma in 46 seconds

ファイナルファンタジーIX-46秒でオズマを屈辱 Completing the friendly monsters sidequest before tackling Ozma offers some advantages: Ozma becomes vulnerable to physical attacks, no longer being "out of reach." Additionally, Ozma will absorb Shadow-elemental attacks (and be healed by Doomsday) unless the sidequest is completed, which weakens him to Shadow. Even without completing the sidequest, Ozma remains easy to defeat—just use fixed damage attacks like Limit Glove, Thievery, Dragon's Crest, Frog Drop, or Spare Change. The purpose of this video is to show how quickly Ozma can be defeated, which is why I haven't stolen anything from him. At this point in the game, what would be the point of stealing those items? They wouldn't be of much use to me. Physical Damage Bonuses: ‣ Steiner - Bird Killer (1.5x damage), MP Attack (1.5x damage), Holy Elem-Atk weapon (1.5x damage), Holy Elem-Atk raising helm (1.5x damage) ‣ Amarant - Bird Killer (1.5x damage), MP Attack (1.5x damage), Wind Elem-Atk weapon (1.5x damage), Wind Elem-Atk raising accessory (1.5x damage) ‣ Zidane - Bird Killer (1.5x damage), MP Attack (1.5x damage) ‣ Freya - Bird Killer (1.5x damage), MP Attack (1.5x damage), Holy Elem-Atk weapon (1.5x damage), Holy Elem-Atk raising accessory (1.5x damage) ✴ Small example of how Physical Damage Bonuses are applied, let's say Steiner's base damage is 10: 10 * 1.5 = 15 15 * 1.5 = 22.5 ➼ 22 Note: The number is truncated (round down) after each multiplication. 22 * 1.5 = 33 33 * 1.5 = 49.5 ➼ 49 Notes: Ozma always starts the battle with 1599/1600 ATB. Unless you're also one frame away from full and hit "Attack" frame-perfectly, Ozma will act first. Its ATB doesn't refill like other enemies; when its move ends, it immediately queues the next one, so its ATB is always nearly full. If you don't input any command, after Ozma's turn, its ATB resets to 1599 and becomes full one frame later. However, if you attack, it stays at 1600. Charge! makes all Near Death (yellow HP) party members use 'Attack'. Ozma's Flare Star deals 50 times each character's level (99x50=4950). I had all characters with around 5000 HP to trigger Near Death status for Steiner's Charge!. I equipped the Pearl Armlet on all four characters, which gives 0 Magic Evasion to ensure no one evades "Flare Star." It wasn't necessary to be at level 99 to do this damage; even at level 1, they can do 9999 damage with a basic understanding of game mechanics. I also had the Excalibur II, but didn't need it. Small visual bug: After using Charge!, the word "miss" appears and Ozma performs an evasion animation. This is a visual bug from the Moguri Mod. I contacted the mod creator (Snouz), and hopefully, it will be fixed soon. When trying to escape, some frames of the 'Attack' command animation are skipped. That's all! (I don't understand why people claim in the comments that running away prevents Ozma from attacking or something... running away only skips a few frames of the Attack command animation, that's all lol.) Ozma was defeated in 46 seconds, counting from the appearance of the ATB gauge to when the final damage has been dealt.
