FENNELL “A Fond Farewell”/“Auld Lang Syne” for solo cornet with piano

I hope you’ll enjoy this poignant setting of “Auld Lang Syne” which I titled “A Fond Farewell.” Originally written for a soloist in a brass octet in 2020 to bid farewell to what was quite a tumultuous year, this is the first time I’m publishing the solo with piano version of the same setting. While not so dramatic as the brass ensemble version, I think this retains the poignancy and has an additional intimacy that is kind of lovely. I hope you’ll agree.
