Bengaluru riots accused and former mayor Sampath Raj, who was undergoing treatment at a hospital, is believed to be absconding. Sampath Raj has been named as one of the key conspirators in Bengaluru riots where Pulikeshinagar MLA Akhanda Srinivasa Murthy's house was attacked by hundreds of people on August 11. Sampath Raj, was admitted for treatment at a hospital in Bengaluru, did not inform the police after he was discharged.
