In this talk, Charlotte performs spoken-word poetry, a genre which focuses on the aesthetics of word play and story-telling and originated in the Harlem Renaissance. In 'Autocomplete', Charlotte constructs a dramatic narrative through Google's autocompletion of phrases. Charlotte Higgins is an Irish-born spoken-word poet who has performed at Glastonbury Music Festival and ran Cambridge’s popular ‘SpeakEasy’ poetry slam nights.
