How To Check Threads History on Threads by Instagram

Checking your post and activity history on Threads by Instagram is fairly straightforward, but it comes with certain limitations. This video walks you through how to access your visible thread history—such as your own posts and replies—while also explaining what you won’t be able to retrieve. To view your own Threads history, open the Threads app and tap the profile icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. Once you're on your profile, you'll see all the content you've created organized into tabs. These include your original threads, replies, reposts, and media. This serves as your thread history and includes all your publicly visible interactions on the platform. However, if you’re looking to revisit a thread you previously viewed but didn’t interact with—such as a post you read without liking, commenting, or reposting—it won’t appear in your history. Threads by Instagram does not currently offer a browsing history feature, so there’s no built-in way to revisit threads you've seen unless you actively engaged with them or bookmarked them. At the moment, there’s also no in-app archive or search filter that allows you to quickly find specific threads based on keywords or previous interactions outside your own profile. This means once a thread disappears from your feed and you haven’t saved or interacted with it, it’s effectively lost unless you recall who posted it or find it again by browsing. If Instagram adds a “Viewed Threads” or “Watch History” feature in the future, it would appear in the app’s settings or under activity tabs—but as of now, it doesn’t exist.
