Is Las Vegas Too Dangerous to Visit Right Now?

There have been many reports showing the increase in the amount of crime on the strip. There has been an increase in violent crime just since the beginning of reopening. Violent crimes like assault, battery, homicide, robbery and those involving weapons have gone up. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has increased their presence on the strip and in other tourist areas to assist with the safety issues. For those visiting Las Vegas on vacation soon, I will give some advice on how to navigate around the downtown Fremont Street area as well as Las Vegas Blvd. to help keep you safe. I discuss which areas have statistically had the least police reports and other areas where I generally feel that the majority of people will be safest. Also, if you want to keep self-defense tools with you while you are here in Las Vegas, there is a store called PVK Knife on the Las Vegas strip where you can buy pepper spray, a knife, a taser, etc. to help you stay safe. If you plan to travel with a firearm to Nevada, there are about 30 other states that Nevada has CCW reciprocity with. If you have a pistol permit from a state that Nevada does not recognize, then you will need to get a permit from a state the Nevada recognizes.
