For the WEI civilization, unique tech "Tuntian" lets soldiers passively generate food very quickly, and the larger your army, the more food you'll have to make even more units to generate even more food. For games with 500 population and room for a large army, food generation is fast. WEI also has max upgrade "Crop Rotation" for farming. Militarily, WEI has the cheapest but also the weakest Traction Trebuchet with only chemistry upgrade and no Siege Engineer, unlike SHU, which has both, and WU with extra projectiles upgrade. Despite this, WEI Traction Trebuchets are still deadly effective in large group and wipe out everything. It's believed that WEI Traction Trebuchets were responsible for wiping out the dinosaurs, and possibly sinking Atlantis and the Titanic.
