Assetto Corsa hotlap / short and simple achievement guide for 'Flat Out in the Flat 8: Gold' achievement / challenge. Porsche 908 Langheck was German Group-6 protorype sportscar. It was used by Porsche at the end of 1960's before the introduction of 917. This version with the long tail was used in Le Mans 24h race at '68 and '69. It finished second at the latter race. It took several hours on two days to beat it. Below 1:39 was easy. 1:37 was a lot harder and I really had to push it to beat 1:36. I don't think the setups made the car any faster, apart from reduced fuel amount. But it made the car a bit easier to drive. You will notice that I run wide on some corner exits. In real racing and in simracing leagues this might in some rules be forbidden. in this Challenge it is not. AC has an active function that disqualifies laps that it thinks have been achieved by driving the car off track. On this track the function has been configured in a manner that allows these runoff areas to be used for racing. Therefore this lap has been driven according to rules set by the manufacturer Kunos Simulazioni. The indicator lit on the dashboard is for low fuel. This video has been upscaled from 1080p to 4K.
