Mega Man No Miss Challenge: Pirate Man (No Miss, No Damage, Buster Only)

Mega Man No Miss Challenge: Pirate Man (No Miss, No Damage, Buster Only)

Difficulty: 4/5 (Hard) Note: This is a run I had previously considered virtually impossible with the No Miss rule due to the rule making it essentially impossible to reliably pop Pirate Man's bubble. Huge thanks to Darp mosh for showing me that you don't need to pop the bubble by linking me to a strategy used by Shadowserg. Only an hour of attempts after uploading the only outtake I've ever uploaded, my worst outtake ever, I've finally defeated Pirate Man perfectly without missing! The stage here isn't too interesting. I would very occasionally ding the shot against the second Ammoner at the very beginning, but all of the difficulty really lies with Pirate Man. Normally Pirate Man is an easy boss. Just constantly firing at him will not only positively influence the patterns of his jumps and Remote Mines, but also allow you to easily pop his bubble every time. This constant firing obviously can't be done in a no miss run. The only solution is to simply deal with Pirate Man's bubble for the entirety of the very long fight. This creates a plethora of nearly impossible situations as well as plenty truly impossible ones. If his diagonal bubble releases him any where close to the center of the screen, you can say goodbye to your chances of dodging the Remote Mines. If he decides to bubble when the water level is low, you essentially just have to hope that not only are you even able to dodge the bubble at all, but that it also releases him on the opposite side of the screen from you. There is quite a lot of luck that goes into this fight, though not as much as some others like Quick Man. While very difficult, I can't rate the stage too crazily high due to the fact that the more I fought Pirate Man, the better my decision making got with regard to his bubble, allowing me to survive for longer amounts of time on average until I got truly unlucky.
