Arthur, with Allbright's identity confirmed, then holds him gunpoint, demanding him to surrender in the name of the law. Allbright claims innocence, and threatens to jump off the cliff, causing him to stumble and nearly fall to an early grave on the rocks below. Fortunately, his would-be captor Arthur saves him, but upon pulling him to safety, Allbright again protests his innocence and, stuck between the metaophorical rock and a hard place, chooses to jump into the Dakota River. He quickly changes his mind. However, as the river's current sweeps him away, and again beseeches Arthur to save him. Arthur pursues Allbright further down the river and ultimately manages to capture and tie the perfidious healer up for delivery to Valentine's sheriff. Returning back to camp. Dutch speaks to Arthur claiming he was always special to him leaving Arthur to ask if they were gonna live or die this time around, while Hosea tries to John's eyes to his family and Susan asking Arthur about Mary.
