Walgreens expands time delay safes

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Walgreens said it will expand its use of time delay safes but not for locking up cash. The company planned to use safes to hold certain prescription medications at all pharmacies in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The safes will hold powerful drugs, mostly painkillers that are targeted by robbers. Once activated by a pharmacist, the safe remains locked for several minutes.
