After making this track, I now feel like I am ready for another few of this kind, marrying operatic to electronic/pop. I only wish I had an orchestra at my beck and call. Here, as with some other songs, the track came first, and the melodies came later. “Before I was inspired to make it operatic, I sang the more soulful/pop part (are you answering my call?) and then felt like the song was missing something epic, which turned out to be opera. The end has a few counterpoint melodies, which took a while to edit together and make sure they work in tandem without stepping on each other’s toes too much, but I think I managed to do so.
