Sensex up by 1% in trade, Nifty maintains the 16k streak | Midday Movers

The benchmark indices give up morning gains. The Sensex up 1% trading around the 54,350 levels and Nifty above 16,200; The Bank Nifty jumps nearly 2% in trade. On the other hand the broader markets trading in the red both Nifty Midcap & small cap down ~1% in trade. IIFL Wealth Management up 9% in trade after a strong performance in the June quarter and dividend announcement. Company's Q1 consolidated net profit jumps 42% on year to Rs 117 cr and total revenue rises 9.5%. The drugmaker Dr Reddy's re-launches over-the-counter (OTC) Naproxen Sodium tablets in the U.S. market after getting approval from the Food and Drug Administration. The stock is up 1-2% in trade.
