In this tutorial I walk you through how to complete the High Halls Gauntlet in Hollow Knight: Silksong — one of the toughest wave-style combat trials in the game and the key to unlocking the Conductor’s Melody. This guide covers enemy waves, survival strategies, and how to get the most out of my specific setup: Reaper Crest, Silkspear, Weavelight, and Fractured Mask. The High Halls Gauntlet is a multi-wave arena challenge that tests everything you’ve learned up to this point. Enemies come in fast, often in groups, and increase in difficulty with each wave. Positioning, patience, and consistent resource management are essential for success. What to Expect Progressive Waves: Each round introduces tougher enemy types, including ranged threats and swarm-style mobs. Resource Pressure: Managing Silk becomes crucial as the fight continues. Weavelight helps regenerate it steadily, while Silkspear adds extra range to keep enemies at bay. Durability & Defense: Fractured Mask helps you stay alive longer during chaotic moments, and the Reaper Crest boosts your melee output when you’re in close combat. Strategy Tips Use Vertical Space: The High Halls arena has multiple platforms. Use them to avoid being surrounded and to reset fights when needed. Silk Management: Bind only during safe windows and keep an eye on your Silk bar. Regeneration from Weavelight can save you during extended waves. Attack Discipline: Use Silkspear to soften enemies before they get close, then close in with Reaper-empowered melee strikes to finish them quickly. Healing Opportunities: Between waves or after clearing a group, use any downtime to heal before the next set of enemies arrives. Completing the Gauntlet rewards you with the Conductor’s Melody, a crucial key item required for deeper progression in Silksong’s story.
