Defying his rage, Geralt and Yen use the stolen Mask of Ouroboros to reveal traces of Ciri's presence at the spot - along with a couple of mysterious companions and another Wild Hunt ambush. The traces seem to lead to the remote island of Hindarsfjall, where Geralt has to sail now in Yennefer's footsteps. _________________________________________________________________ This video is part of a detailed no-commentary, non-blind playthrough of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, specially crafted with the intention of creating as near-perfect a memory of the game as is technically and substantially possible. Since there are already hundreds of playthroughs online, here is a quick list of features that might make this one stand out a little: 1) All videos are recorded in HIGH quality (original bitrate of 50000 kbps) 1080p and then upscaled to 1440p to ensure the optimal codec from YT. This presumably yields a decent watching experience on YT with a passable, rather than devastating, amount of pixelation during running and combat scenes. 2) The game has been modded with the HD Reworked mod (v. 10.0), ensuring HD textures wherever possible, and slightly enhanced with Reshade tools to make the colors vibrate a bit. 3) A few other mods have been installed, including a mod for larger subtitles (the original ones are nearly impossible to see, particularly on large screens) and a mod that slows down action during critical strikes (because we know that Geralt likes to show off). However, for the most part the game sticks to the original settings. 4) ALL the main quests and all side quests, including treasure hunts and scavenging, are included in the playthrough. However, most of the repetitive grinding is being edited out, such as generic bandit camps, monster nests, looting of empty houses, etc. Although such grinding is also an important part of the overall gaming experience, it does not make watchable sense in a no commentary playthrough. 5) Choices are typically handled in ways allowing for either maximum HP harvesting, or most detailed and interesting outcomes, or (preferably) both. Occasionally, where there is no plot contradiction involved, two or more dialog choices are both recorded and edited. 6) The game is played on the "Blood And Broken Bones" difficulty - a nice challenge for combat, and not as tedious for recording as the "Death March" difficulty.
