Kratos then returns to the temple of Lahkesis, where he picks up the Amulet of the Fates, granting him a new power over time. This brings him into conflict with Lahkesis, who tells him he will never be allowed to change his destiny. Kratos, never one to take no for an answer disagrees, violently.
