The NBA's trade deadline has come and gone, and the Lakers were quiet. Very, very quiet. Like, did nothing quiet. And while that might be disappointing to fans hoping to see the team improve, it shouldn't be surprising. The Lakers are short on assets, and at least didn't do anything stupid out of desperation that would compromise their ability to try and fix things this offseason. So the team is the team.
