— Romans 5:1-5 — Today I have the one and the only, Tyler Donovan (he makes his own beats) joining me for another worship cover! We sang this song last year during OLPH Life Teen’s Fall Retreat, “Steady Our Souls” which I had the honor of directing with my brothers and sisters in Christ. The retreat focused on the importance of anchoring ourselves in Jesus amidst the storms we face, recognizing that He is our anchor, He is with us in the storm, and He will take care. God will steady our souls, all we need to do is seek him and listen to his Word. I know everything I say sounds a bit redundant but it’s just to emphasize the fact that this is the truth. It is simple. God is good. God got you. I pray that you all continue to find hope in the storms that you face internally and externally. Even when things don’t seem to make sense, I encourage you to praise God anyways. Even when you don’t see him working, He is working. With everything going on in the world this year, I pray that you continue to be a light in this world, being that hope for others, by ultimately reflecting God in your words and actions. All it takes is love. Last but not least, I pray that God speaks to you through this song. Place your hope in Christ. Your storms may be big but remember that Our God is bigger.
