The result comes after tonight's Cool Britannia episode, where the contestants paid tribute to British musical icons. 28-year-old Matt performed a roaring rendition of Rolling Stone's Gimmie Shelter — but it wasn't enough to keep him in the competition. Upon hearing he had been evicted from the competition just one week before the final, the singer told the audience it was "only the beginning" of his journey.
