Shining Fates came out when Pokemon Card Collecting was at it's peak during the pandemic. Store shelves were cleared of Pokemon Cards resulting in fomo, demand, and scalping. Many LGS and Resellers were marking up Shining Fates ETBS 2-3x MSRP causing an uproar in the community and a response by Pokemon. Did Pokemon's promise to reprint Shining Fates damage the long term viability of Shining Fates?
