Deeply regret Jallianwala Bagh massacre: UK PM

UK PM Theresa May expressed regret over the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and called it a shameful scar on British Indian history. However, UK's Opposition called for "a clear and unequivocal apology" for the massacre. According to the Indian National Congress, around 1,000 people were killed after British troops opened fire on a peaceful gathering in Amritsar on April 13, 1919.
