Can I Prove ConcernedApe Wrong?

In the newly added Desert Festival, there's a challenge to collect as many Calico Points as you can in the Skull Cavern, but if you collect too many, the game thinks you're cheating, and awards you nothing. I'm going to test if it's TRULY impossible to get it without cheating.
