The UK government’s scientific advisors hold weekly data briefing on the Covid-19 pandemic from Downing Street. The session is chaired by Public Health England's Dr Susan Hopkins. As England approaches December 2, when the national lockdown is supposed to ease, the debate over what restrictions will be put in place rages on. Boris Johnson has repeatedly promised that the national lockdown will be replaced with a "regional tiered approach". But Government sources told The Telegraph default restrictions across the country are likely to include a ban on mixing with other households until close to Christmas.
