తిరువల్లిక్కేణి శ్రీపార్థసారథి ఆలయం (108 దివ్య క్షేత్రం) | Triplicane Sri Parthasarathy Temple

తిరువల్లిక్కేణి (ట్రిప్లికేన్) పరమ పవిత్రమైన 108 వైష్ణవ దివ్యక్షేత్రాలలో ఒకటి. చెన్నై మహానగరంలో ఉన్న ఈ పురాతన ఆలయం శ్రీపార్థసారథి స్వామివారికి సంబంధించినది. ఈ ఆలయంలో ప్రధాన దైవం- విష్ణుమూర్తి అవతారం అయిన శ్రీకృష్ణుడు. మరెక్కడా లేని విధంగా, ఈ ఆలయంలో శ్రీకృష్ణుడు మీసాలతో దర్శనం ఇస్తాడు. కురుక్షేత్రం యుద్ధంలో కొన్ని బాణాలు శ్రీకృష్ణుడికి కూడా తగలడం వల్ల, ఇక్కడ నెలకొన్న స్వామివారి ముఖంపై వాటి తాలూకు మచ్చలు కనిపిస్తాయి. అలాగే శ్రీకృష్ణుడు కురుక్షేత్రం యుద్ధంలో శంఖం తప్ప వేరే ఆయుధం పట్టకపోవడంతో, ఇక్కడి మూలవిరాట్ చేతిలో సుదర్శన చక్రం కనిపించదు. ఈ ఆలయంలో పార్థసారథితో పాటు రుక్మిణీదేవి, వారి కొడుకు అయిన ప్రద్యుమ్నుడు, అలాగే మనవడైన అనిరుద్ధుడు, ఇంకా కృష్ణుడి అన్నగారైన బలరాముడు, తమ్ముడైన సాత్యకి వంటి మహావీరులందరూ ఒకే చోట కొలువై ఉండడంతో ఈ క్షేత్రం దక్షిణ భారతదేశపు బృందావనంగా విరాజిల్లుతోంది. Thiruvallikkeni (Triplicane) is one of the 108 most sacred Vaishnava divya desams. This ancient temple is located in Chennai, Tamilnadu and is dedicated to Lord Parthasarathy. The main deity of the temple is Lord Krishna, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Unlike anywhere else, Lord Krishna appears in this temple with a moustache. In the battle of Kurukshetra, some arrows also hit Lord Krishna, leaving scars on the face of the Swami who was manifested here. As Lord Srikrishna did not take any weapon other than the conch in the battle of Kurukshetra, the Sudarshan Chakra (Discus) does not appear in the hands of moolavar. The temple hosts Parthasarathy, Rukmini Devi, their son Pradyumna, their grandson Aniruddha, Krishna's brother Balarama as well as his younger brother Satyaki all in one place.
