Buckley Tivoli - UK Haunted Music Venue - Halloween Special
The Tivoli Venue in Buckley, North East Wales is one of the most haunted music venues and night clubs in the whole of the UK, many would argue that it was actually the UK's most haunted music venue. Buckley Tivoli, or The Tiv as it's affectionately known is said to be haunted by a number of different ghosts, the most famous being, Harry the projectionist who burnt to death in a fire in the projection room in 1946 or 1945 when the venue was a cinema and theatre. We were very kindly given complete access to roam around and explore this most haunted building, telling stories of some of the spooky spirits that have been seen in this venue over the years. As a music venue, I (Wills) have been going to the Tiv since 1990, where at one point, I would be going every week to see a great live band. Although the Tivoli started off as a cinema and theatre, then was a ballroom for a while, since the 1970s, it has been most famous for being one of the UK's leading live music venues. I have seen hundreds of bands here over the years, but some of the bands of note that have played the famous Tivoli stage include, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Status Quo, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth, Marty Wilde, Slade, The Buzzcocks, The Searchers, Diamond Head, The La's, Motorhead, Hawkwind, Magnum, Saxon, Faith No More, The Quireboys, The Wildhearts, Thunder, Wolfsbane, Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris' British Lion, Adrian Smith's ASAP, The Macc Lads, The Levellers, Adam Ant, The Dogs D'Amour, Little Angels, Engine, Dumpy's Rusty Nuts, The Almighty, Spike, GWAR, Dizzy Mama, B4 Time, Manic Street Preachers, Tyla, Ocean Colour Scene, Antiproduct, The Relatives, Toyah, The Boo Radleys, Dr Feelgood, The Real People, Oasis, New Model Army, Spear of Destiny, Terrorvision, Baby Milk Plant, Julian Cope, Love / Hate, Ugly Kid Joe, Skid Row, Green Jelly, D.A.D, The Electric Boys, Last Great Dreamers, Public Image Limited and hundreds and hundreds more.
