Thecha || Mirchi cha Thecha || Green Chilli's Thecha || Maharashtrian Thecha || Khandeshi Thecha || मिरचीचा ठेचा Green Chilli Thecha, a classic Maharashtrian accompaniment. Preparation Time: 10 minutes. Cooking Time: 7 minutes. Makes ½ cup. ¼ cup roughly chopped green chillies 3 tbsp raw peanuts 2 tsp oil 2 tbsp roughly chopped garlic (lehsun) ¼ cup roughly chopped coriander (dhania) Salt to taste 1. Heat a small non-stick pan, add the peanuts and dry roast on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring continuously. 2. Remove from the flame, de-skin the peanuts and keep aside. 3. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the green chillies and mix well. Cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally. 4. Add the garlic, and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute. 5. Allow the mixture to cool completely. 6. Once cooled, combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer to a coarse mixture. 7. Store in an air-tight container and refrigerate. Use as required.
