The opening section of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate played blind. It's the Vita version running on a PSTV. This 2.5D metroidvania title was released in 2013 and takes place between the original Arkham Origins and Arkham Asylum. It's a similar premise to Arkham Asylum, except for this time the lunatics have taken over the prison, and of course playing Batman you swoop in to save the day. This linear intro section takes place on the rooftops of Gotham as Batman pursues Catwoman. Afterwards, the game moves to Blackgate where it becomes a full freely explorable metroidvania. Gameplay is almost identical to the other Arkham games, a mix of brawling, stealth, exploration and making use of the gadgets you find to access new areas, apart from the fact it's all on a 2.5D plane. This playthrough is blind and I find all the available collectibles for a 100% save file. Collectibles are crates containing upgrades and suits, villain items and detective clues that help Batman solve various crimes committed in the prison. Each part will culminate with a boss fight, except for the last one which will be a post game mop up for the remaining detective clues. All crates and villain items are found in the main playthrough. Note that it's actually impossible to find all the suits first time through, as they depend on what order you fight the bosses. To get all suits you have to play through 3 times utilising the new game plus mode. However, it's still possible to get a 100% save file in your first playthrough, which is what you'll see here. This series will run for just over a week and I'll resume with my Amalur playthrough afterwards.
