Steele Creek standoff that started early Saturday morning still ongoing

An hours-long standoff is still ongoing involving a person barricaded in the Steele Creek area of southwest Charlotte occurred Saturday evening, according to a tweet from CMPD. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's SWAT officers responded to a call about a person making threats just before 7 a.m., sharing initial details around noon.
