BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi: Opposition No-Confidence Motion 'Nothing But A Farce, Ridiculous'

BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi criticized the opposition's no-confidence motion against the Lok Sabha Speaker, calling it 'nothing but a farce' and 'ridiculous.' She stated that 'every day in the Lok Sabha, rupees 9 crore is being spent just on running the house,' calling the motion a wastage of time, energy, and resources. Sarangi defended Speaker Om Birla, noting he has presided over historic decisions including the passage of legislation on Article 370, the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, and the triple talaq bill. She questioned the opposition's numerical strength, pointing out the ruling coalition has 293 members versus the opposition's 234.
