Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy: The Last Link Between East And West Pakistan

Pakistan has a long history of declaring its popular prime ministers as traitors. One on the list is Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy who was declared traitor by General Ayub Khan. He was banned from politics for life under the notorious EBDO law on the charge of 'anti-state activities'. Under these laughable charges, Quaid-e-Azam's lieutenant and former Prime Minister of Pakistan was arrested and kept in solitary confinement for 7 months. While he received a massive welcome upon return from the jail, the imprisonment had taken a toll on his health, and on the new year's eve, Suhrawardy suffered a heart attack. Heartbroken, he left for Beirut to recuperate but never recovered from the illness and on December 5, 1963, this bridge between the two wings of Pakistan lost the battle of life. 8 years later, on December 16, 1971, Pakistan was dismembered. #NayaDaur #Bangladesh #FallOfDhaka #16DecBlackDay ----------------------------------------------- Subscribe our channel:    / nayadaurpk   Follow Naya Daur Media on Facebook:   / nayadaurpk   Follow Naya Daur Urdu on Facebook:   / nayadaururdu   Follow Naya Daur Media on Twitter:   / nayadaurpk   Follow Naya Daur Urdu on Twitter:   / nayadaurpk_urdu   Follow Naya Daur Media on Instagram:   / nayadaurpk
