MISBEHAVING ON LAKE POWELL. E69

We left Wind Therapy at the Safe Harbor Cove Haven Marina in Barrington, RI and flew to Utah to spend some time with Dax and Jody on their house boat at Lake Powell. Tony and Lidia joined us. You might remember them from our first trip to The Bahamas in early 2021. We spent the day at the St. George Day spa, experienced first-hand a 10-minute Utah hurricane, and spent a few days speeding through the canyons of Lake Powell. We also had some skinny dipping and naked time. Yes, naked time. As they say, "What happens in Vegas (Lake Powell), stays in Vegas (Lake Powell). I rode a jet ski for the first time in my life! How did I get to be 57 years old growing up in Florida, and I've never ridden a jet ski? And Jeff flipped Jody's Polaris Razer. Ugh!!! He wasn't hurt, thank goodness. Can't say the same for the Razer. So, we fled to Vegas where we attended the Big Blues Bender for the 3rd time. We love it! All of our music in this episode came from video I recorded on my phone during the shows. We spent some time with our pal, Damon Fowler, and we made some new friends. Dough Woolverton, the trumpet player for the Bender Brass Band is one of our new BFFs. So talented and a super nice guy. He introduced us to Jimmy Carpenter and Mark Early. The whole Brass Band is incredible. These guys learn about 200 songs in the two weeks before the show, and they spend four days running from stage to stage backing up artists who didn't bring their bands to Vegas.
