Sonko in more trouble as DCI pushes terror-related charges

Anti-Corruption Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti has directed the former legal team representing ex-Governor Mike Sonko in the 10 million bribery case to surrender all documentary evidence given to them by the state to his current lawyers within 48 hours. The embattled former county boss fired his previous legal team that was led by lawyer Cecil Miller and is now represented by a new team led by Senior Counsel John Khaminwa. Sonko is being held at Girigiri police station awaiting to appear in a Kiambu court on Thursday afternoon.
