During the early morning hours on Tuesday, 11-29-11, an argument between unknown individuals occurred in the parking lot of the Pool Club. These individuals had been patrons inside the bar just prior to the argument. The victim, who was working inside the bar, saw the commotion and went outside into the parking lot. Several minutes later, the victim returns inside the business being assisted by a bar patron. This bar patron has been identified as "Paul," a Hispanic male in his mid 30's, 5'8", 190 pounds, having a stocky build with short black hair. The victim, who is now suffering from a head injury, is escorted by Paul into the bathroom. Paul then leaves the bar and hasn't been located for an interview. Most of this incident is captured on video surveillance footage. Several hours later, the victim was transported via ambulance to LLUMC for treatment of his head injury. He died of his head injury 20 days later. The exact cause of his injury is not clear at this time. A police investigation is ongoing. The police department is asking for the public's help in identifying Paul for an interview. (See attached video footage of Paul.) Anyone who was present when this incident occurred, or anyone who has information on the case is asked to contact Detective Al Tello at 909-384-5747, or Sergeant Gary Robertson at 909-384-5663, or the SBPD at 909 384-5742.
