Smoking ALCO Vs Smoking EMD Crazy Acceleration!
11 April 2015. Soldevanahalli Halt, KA. A small compilation showing the acceleration of 3100hp ALCO WDG3A and 4500hp EMD WDG4 as they set off after a short halt at Soldevanahalli. WDG3A 13297 was in charge of the Arsikere-Bangalore Passenger and WDG4 12636 was with the Bangalore-Hubli Passenger. The WDG4's take-off is one of the fastest train accelerations I have ever witnessed! Not exactly how an EMD locomotive is supposed to be notched up, but was fun to watch nevertheless.
