1930 Martin 00-28 Employee Guitar | The Music Emporium

Eduardo Mercuri plays an employee-built 1930 Martin 00-28 at The Music Emporium in Lexington, MA. Since employee-made Martins needed to be customized in order not to conflict with guitars made for retail, this style-28 instrument also sports an abalone rosette and an unusual dots-and-diamond fretboard inlay. The woods used are typical for a style-28 guitar: Brazilian Rosewood back and sides & Red Spruce top. Eduardo is using a Blue Chip TAD50 flatpick; and the guitar is strung with D'addario EJ16 (.012-.053) strings. Audio recorded with two Sterling Audio ST-55 condenser microphones straight into a Zoom H4N. No additional EQ or effects have been added in post production.
