The teenager, whose identity is not being made public because they were a minor at the time of the incident, had already signed a plea deal with prosecutors admitting to multiple charges.  The charge relating to terrorism, however, remained in dispute and was placed before the Central District Court in Lod to adjudicate a final decision. The teenager was found to have conspired in a July 2015 arson attack targeting several houses in the West Bank village of Duma. The incident shocked both Israelis and Palestinians after it was revealed that Ali Saad Dawabsha was burned to death along with his parents, Riham and Saad. The presiding judge in the case wrote in her ruling that "the offenses to which the defendant admitted were ideological and racially motivated."
