Neither Colby Covington nor Fabricio Werdum seem to be good Representatives of MMA. Thoughts? After beating Demian Maia in Brazil, Colby Covington took it upon himself to insult the entire country of Brazil. This did not sit well with many in MMA or in Brazil. As we know, many people conduct themselves as a result of experiences that they have encountered in life. Colby states that he was treated terribly by the people of Brazil and therefore wanted to speak on it. However, IMO, much of what Colby does seems to be put on or staged to gain publicity with an objective to talk himself into a Welterweight Title Fight. Who really knows what Covington's true objectives are or why he has chosen his most recent antics. Fabricio Werdum, on the other hand, is another one who has said some terrible things while being on the UFC roster. Werdum called UFC Heavyweight Legend, Cain Velasquez a "Fake Mexican". As we all know, Cain takes a lot of pride in his heritage. Velasquez grew up in a town on US soil that borders Mexico. To many Werdum's comments were disrespectful. Then, Werdum used terrible language when he got into an altercation with Tony Ferguson. Covington has now used the same terrible language against Fabricio in their most recent altercation. In any event, it does not seem as if one guy is worse than the other. Both don't seem to be good representatives of Mixed Martial Arts. All MMA News Update 183
