2020 Vision: Will My Vote Count?

With November 3rd right around the corner, and votes already being cast, questions abound about the susceptibility of the electoral process to foreign manipulation and its implications for American democracy. Will electronic voting machines be secure? What role will foreign disinformation campaigns play this time around? What measures are currently being taken to ensure the sanctity of the election? What further efforts need to be made? And what about the potential for foreign meddling during the period between the election and inauguration? To answer these questions, General (retired) Michael V. Hayden,, former director of the CIA and NSA, is proud to present a panel of experts and practitioners in electoral security. Panelists include Christopher Krebs, director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency; Laura Rosenberger, director of the Alliance for Security Democracy at the German Marshall Fund of the United States; and Dimitri Alperovitch, chairman of Silverado Policy Accelerator and co-founder and former chief technology officer of Crowdstrike. Michael Morell, former deputy and acting director of the CIA, moderates the event. This is a presentation of the Michael V.
