Add an optional $1 owner-installed package and 100-octane gas, and Dodge says the Demon can run the quarter mile in 9.65 seconds at 140 mph. Q. When will the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon be available? A. Deliveries start in the fall. A street-legal drag racer? It seems too good to be true, but that’s what Dodge is promising with its 2018 Challenger SRT Demon. This car has exactly what you’d expect out of a dragster. It comes equipped with a supercharged V8 that pumps out 808 hp and 717 lb-ft of torque on 91-octane gas. Install the optional performance parts for just a dollar and the power rises to 840 hp and 770 lb-ft of torque. Dodge is so committed to wooing drag fans that the Demon doesn’t even come standard with passenger seats. But for just another dollar, Dodge will add those seats so that your friends can come along for one fast, powerful ride.
