Composer, master of improv and frequent award winner ( Grand Jazz Award, Montreal Jazz Festival, 26th edition) , he creates music drawn from a wealth of sources and loves to collaborate with poets, actors and visual artists. He heads a number of groups and is a much sought-after Latin bassist, whether by visiting stars from out of town or local Cuban players. A well-known figure on the Montreal jazz scene, he hosts a 'killer' weekly jam session which draws promising talents and renowned jazz musicians from near and afar. Artiste spontané, il crée une musique énergique aux influences multiples et ses projets englobent plusieurs collaborations dans le jazz, le théâtre et multimédia.
