I began a fast Saturday evening. Why? Not to lose weight as many people do, instead I do all things for a deeper purpose; to serve and to honor. God revealed tons of information to me over this weekend. It weighed heavily upon my heart. This revelation had the ability to either defeat me or provide me with great strength. Every time that God reveals a hidden secret to you about who you are and what your purpose is, you'll have a chance at becoming tempted. That's when the attacks begin. Every milestone. Every defeat. Every revelation. Temptation. The devil noticed my weakness. He noticed that it was causing a sadness within me that he could use to lure me away from God and into my own personal suffering once again and back down the wrong road AGAIN. I'm thankful that I'm well nourished within God's grace to know better. And so I decided to perform a fast. As of 6:30 this a.m. it will be 30.5 hours and I'm still going. But several months ago when I first tried a fast, I imagined that it would kill me. Food oh glorious food! But even then, Christ strengthened me and it was over before I knew it. When I perform a fast, I hide away as much as possible. No going outdoors. No socializing with too many people. No one in my house even knows that I'm doing one and that's the way that it's supposed to be. I am only expressing this to you so that I can teach you. Not about refraining from food, but by causing suffering within your flesh so that your spirit can become nourished. I don't watch television during my fast. I'm not hanging out on social media and I keep my eyes to the great Book and my mind in prayer as much as possible. Sometimes the effects of going without nourishment leaves me with a headache, so all I'm able to do is pray continuously and that's ok too because the body has still become the sacrifice. God doesn't require us to fast anymore. Jesus Christ's sacrifice for us did away with all of that stuff. However, doing one will never cause you harm, if it's for a good reason. Because what's the point of doing anything if it's not for a greater purpose? When you do things in God's honor, you will be rewarded. It's by our CHOICES that we are proving where we stand in life. So I don't do this to look thin, to lose weight, to showboat that I did it or to make you think I'm STRONG, I do it to honor God and to push the devil away. I know that by taking any action in faith, I shall be redeemed. And God always delivers. And before I had shut my eyes last night, God spoke to me yet again. He said, "Here. Eat." He loves us so much that He wants us to be well nourished!! 😊 I am so humbled by His LOVE. He doesn't want to see us suffer!! He wants us to have everything that we need. But He waits for us to activate our want for His love and protection. I want you to allow God to fuel your life. Don't run on empty. Become replenished within His Spirit and His Truth. If you're here, there's a deep rooted reason. It's not just because I inspire you, it's because you were meant to stand out too. So keep in mind, that if that's the case, you will need to suffer. Those who are 'chosen' will be tested fully. God must prepare you and in order for you to understand what He's preparing you for, you must surrender to Him, be obedient to Him, and hunger for Him! I'm not suggesting a fast, I'm suggesting to listen to what He's saying to you. If you want to prove to Him that you're ready, sacrifice something in His honor. I'll share several things that I've sacrificed for Him and this path that He's placed me on throughout the week. #fasting #biblicalfast #sacrifice #redemption #suffer #flesh #body #Christ #X #God #purpose #promiseland #Eden #heavenonearth #love #honor #glorify #spirituality #incarnate #chosen #strength #temptation #spirit #truth #light #life #heal #rebirth
