The number of Coronavirus cases has hit a new record high, as England and Scotland enter another national lockdown. New UK infections surged past 60,000 for the first time, with the highly-infectious new variant spreading across the country. A further 830 UK deaths were announced. And new figures showed a staggering 1 in 50 people - more than 1 million of us - are now infected in England.
