First, it's best to turn off Bluetooth on any nearby phones or computers the headphones are already paired with. This will ensure that the TV will be able to connect. Start with the headphones powered off. Then press and hold the power button until the LED indicator flashes red and blue. When you see this, the Sony headphones are in pairing mode. Now on the LG remote, press the Settings button. It's the one with the gear icon. Scroll down and select All Settings. Here, go to the Sound controls. The setting I want is Sound Out. At this point, the TV is currently set to the Internal TV Speaker. To pair my headphones, I need to go to Device Selection. And this is where I will see the name of the Sony headphones highlighted with a red dot. Now just press the enter button on the remote and in a few seconds, the headphones are connected. When I return to the previous menu, I can verify that sound is now directed to the headphones. To listen to the TV's speaker again, just turn off the headphones or select Internal TV Speaker at the top of the list. And while the headphones are still powered on, I can easily activate them again by selecting Bluetooth. Finally, if I want to unpair the device, just go to Device Selection and use the Trash icon to completely disconnect the Sony headphones.
