This is an animatic, not the final animation, but if you're interested in how it turned out, click here to watch Sad Larry's Sad New Year on YouTube!    • Sad Larry's Sad New Year - Cyanide & Happi...   I was THRILLED to have been able to work on a Sad Larry short. This is still in the midst of my slow-starting, then rush to meet the deadline phase unfortunately, but I still managed to slip in a lot of fun details and gags in this thing. The stumbling backwards sequence was especially fun, and I snuck in a C&H Van Halen logo I conceptualized around the time. I also threw in Purgatony's office on the tv. I loved the final cake gag, and it was evident I was going through a big Bruno Mars kick at the time, lmfao. 2017 was a rough period of time for sure, but I was optimistic for 2018 and tried channeling that into this animatic as I was struggling through depression hardcore around the time I worked on this. Apt that it was Sad Larry. A lot of things in my personal life were burbling up, and it's a shame and a regret that it bled through into my professional life with really sloppy animatics. The guys deserve better and so do y'all.
